In 2023, we led a groundbreaking collaboration between Rip Curl and 4ocean, two global leaders in surf culture and ocean world. What began as a simple campaign idea evolved into one of the largest environmental activations in Bali, uniting corporate partners, local communities, and artists under a shared mission: to protect the ocean we all depend on. Together, we hosted a record-breaking beach cleanup and employed local 4ocean artisans to transform recovered fishing nets and plastic waste into a large-scale art installation for Rip Curl’s flagship surf competition and store location. The piece became a symbol of unity and environmental action, demonstrating how creativity and collaboration can drive real-world change.
The campaign reached over half a million people worldwide, amplifying both the voices of the artisans and the urgency of the ocean crisis.
